SAVE THE BOB: Studio Bob Needs Our Support
SAVE THE BOB: A live streaming event to support a local venue
Small music and arts venues are key to a vibrant art community. These venues allow artists and musicians to share their talents in an intimate setting and provide much needed access to the arts while building community. One such venue, Studio Bob, has been an art hub on the North Olympic Peninsula for fourteen years.
Owner Bob Stokes has been unable to open his doors since the first COVID shutdown almost one year ago. Bob’s been looking for creative ways to bring in revenue and contribute to the community. In his quest, Bob reached out to our team to collaborate. Our Board of Directors voted unanimously to support this project and, “Save The Bob”, a live streaming benefit concert was born.
JFFA has invited local ensemble, FarmStrong, described as “beyond bluegrass” and “pure distilled country music” to perform as we spend an evening raising money to save this beloved venue.
“This collaboration is important to us. Our goal is to provide access to the arts and we can’t do that if our venue partners don’t survive,” says Kari Chance, JFFA Administrative Manager. “Studio Bob hosted our very first ‘Living Room Series’ so it’s fitting that we partner again for an ‘In [Your] Living Room’ live streaming event. Supporting our community partners is an important part of fulfilling our organization’s mission.”
Tune in to the show on Friday, March 26th @ 6pm to enjoy live local music and help us support Studio Bob.
