Entertain * Engage * Educate

Born from a need to find joy, connection, and beauty in a time of uncertainty,  Market Art has become an essential offering in our community.

JFFA looks for ways to teach new artistic skills and theories, and to find ways to bring us all together. Our projects have ranged from gratitude journals that teach pointilism and writing, to papel picado for your home Día de Los Muertos altar, to watercolor feathers that were transformed into a beautiful set of wings in a community art installation.

We strive to find ways to teach both art and community.  Join us monthly at the Port Angeles Farmer’s Market (or around town) spring through fall.

PAST projects

Birds of a Feather Flock Together

This community installation commemorated our very first Market Art event and showcased the work of over 200 young artists.  These wings brought art and joy to the lovely downtown district and beacame a  destination for those looking for a colorful photo opportunity.

Día de Los Muertos

In partnership with the North Olympic Library System, we celebrated Día de Los Muertos by making Papel Picado for home altars or to be used as part of the Ofrenda Communidad, located at the Port Angeles branch of the library during the weeks surrounding the holiday.
