CANCELED! Led Dance Co. Presents Jabberwock
April 11, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$10 – $38
LED combines contemporary dance, original music, and film into breathtaking cinematic experiences. Founded in 2015, LED is a project-based arts nonprofit based in Boise, Idaho. LED’s projects are created by the artistic duo of husband and wife team, Lauren Edson, and Andrew Stensaas. Every moment of an LED production is built from the ground up by Lauren and Andrew and a large contingent of extremely talented dancers, musicians, designers, and technicians that are brought in on a project-by-project basis.
Jabberwock, a contemporary adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s nonsense poem “Jabberwocky,” uses the classic hero’s tale to create a world of suspense and whimsy, exploring themes of good versus evil, resilience, autonomy and truth. Set within a dystopian 1950’s inspired office space, Jabberwock, features completely original dance and music and a world class group of dancers. LED has assembled a cast of professional dancers from all over the country for this production.
Dancers: Ching Ching Wong (NW Dance Project, Princess Grace Award, Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch”), Brett Perry (Trey McIntyre Project, Princess Grace Award), Łukasz Zięba (Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, Company XIV), Allie Kronick (Abarukas), Emma Lalor (T Lang Dance), Maxwell Parr Perkins (Loni Landon Dance Project), and Nell Josephine (Ballet Idaho).
