JFFA Educational Programs

Entertain * Engage * Educate

Engaging with art is essential to the human experience. Arts educational experiences have remarkable impacts on students’ academic, social, and emotional outcomes.

Almost as soon as motor skills are developed, children communicate through artistic expression. The arts challenge us with different points of view, compel us to empathize with others, and give us the opportunity to reflect on the human condition. At JFFA we recognize art is necessary and has transformative impacts and we honor its place in K-12 education.

Festival Kids Show

Each year JFFA launches the Juan de Fuca Festival with three morning school performances that serve over 3000 local students and educators. With support from the Port Angeles Education Foundation, the Port Angeles School District, many volunteers and specific artist grants we proudly bring world class performances to all K-12 students in the Port Angeles School District.

Season Concert Outreach

Touring artists that perform during our season concert series often connect with our community in other meaningful ways through workshops, master classes, lecture demonstrations and school shows. JFFA often partners with other community organizations, schools, and established public events to create access and engagement through high caliber art education experiences intended for people of all ages and abilities.
