A long-time favorite of the Juan de Fuca Festival, David Jacobs-Strain is a fierce slide guitar player and song poet from Oregon. He’s known for both his virtuosity and his spirit of emotional abandon.  His live show moves from humorous, subversive blues to delicate balladry and then swings back to swampy rock and roll. David has appeared at major festivals throughout the world including a stint on the faculty of Centrum’s Blues and Heritage workshop at the age of 15.  He’s shared the stage with Lucinda Williams, Boz Scaggs, Etta James, Taj Mahal, the Doobie Brothers and many more. He will be accompanied by Philadelphia’s harmonica virtuoso Bob Beach“His albums are slow-burning wonders…” (Pop Matters)  David and Bob’s set on Monday will be a joint show with Keith Greeninger and  Dayan Kai.  SUNDAY, MONDAY, AFTER HOURS SUNDAY
